Docugard® – anti-microbial protection for file and folders
 James Cropper Speciality Papers has entered into a technological agreement with BioCote® to incorporate their patented anti-microbial agent into paper. Docugard® papers incorporate the Biocote® active silver agent, proven to be safe and effective against the growth of micro-organisms such as MRSA.
Many research studies prove that the hospital environmental can act as a reservoir for potentially pathogenic bacteria. Notes and charts raise a particular problem because they are difficult to clean by conventional methods.
Docugard® papers provide a very high degree of infection control by inhibiting microbial growth and helping to minimise the risk of cross-contamination by peoples’ hands.
The inclusion of the BioCote® agent within the paper has a low-cost premium compared to standard stationery and file papers, but provides an extra level of protection in the continuing fight against superbugs.
