The London Ambulance Service NHS Trust is the largest metropolitan ambulance service in the world, caring for more than 1.5 million patients every year.
As well as dealing with 999 emergencies, the service also delivers a range of first aid training courses to public and private sector organisations across Greater London. The training forms part of the service’s mission to provide as many Londoners as possible with life-saving skills. The team of trainers includes highly qualified paramedics who bring the theory to life by drawing from their real life experiences. They aim to give course attendees the confidence to administer first aid in the workplace, at home or in the general public. Fact: Only 4 per cent of Londoners have carried out CPR training in the past year and 45 per cent of those who have ever been trained say it was over 10 years ago. The London Ambulance Service has recently been awarded accreditation by the Health & Safety Executive and is now delivering First Aid at Work courses – both the four day initial course and the two day re-qualification course. Training can be delivered at a customer’s premises or at one the Service’s training centres. |
