Our training programmes cover the whole spectrum of dealing with conflict. From endeavouring to prevent the incidents occurring in the first place, to the managing and de-escalation of incidents once they have started. Learning to identify the signs and pre-conditions to conflict will help in deciding on the most appropriate solution.

Training Programmes
All our training programmes can be bespoke or adapted in a manner that will compliment any current training that you offer your staff; or, a more specific programme can be established that will suit your current needs.  A qualified member of our team will conduct a full ‘Training Needs Analysis’, based on the identified staff’s role, to ensure the training programme meets with their needs and requirements. This of course will be done in full liaison with your management team.

Our training is fully risk assessed and covered by comprehensive insurance. The training provided will empower your staff to utilize early avoidance strategies, recognise and deal with threats by understanding the importance of good communication skills and mediate and de-escalate aggression or potential aggression.  If appropriate, ‘defensive’ physical skills can be included into your training programme. This can include ‘softer’ physical skills designed specifically for use around the needs of mental health patients. Your staff will learn the safe but effective way in which these skills could be used.

More importantly, by the end of the training they will understand what they can safely do within the law and the use of ‘reasonable force’ if having to defend themselves. The training could culminate in your staff applying their newfound skills in realistic, fully controlled and safe scenario based role-plays.  We can also offer extensive training in the ‘safe’ use in all the other forms of mechanical restraint on the market.

They all have many years involved in training staff such as yours. Our training is safe, controlled, effective but also fun. All our trainers are ‘First Aid at Work’ trained.
