Severnside Recycling
Severnside Recycling – the number one choice for the removal and destruction of confidential material

Severnside’s Confidential Data Destruction Division operates on a nation-wide basis offering coverage to all sectors of industry, commerce and individuals for the removal and destruction of confidential material.

At Severnside, we operate the kind of systems you are already familiar with through the UK’s leading parcel delivery companies. Everyday, thousands of organisations up and down the county, including banks, solicitors and public sector bodies entrust their most important documents to be couriered by companies operating item tracking systems. It’s exactly that security, traceability, and piece of mind that should be applied to your sensitive documents.

Our electronic hand held Proof of Collection (POC) system confirms the size of collection e.g. number of bags, collection address and time, as well electronically recording the signature of a person at this address.

As soon as the collection is complete this information is sent immediately back, via GPRS, to our central control office. At this point, proof of collection can be provided to the customer.

At this stage the collection information captured on the hand held POC is synchronised with our central office systems, ensuring a fully auditable, electronic path from point of collection through to point of destruction

  • Severnside Systems are  ISO9001:2000  quality certified
  • Insurance with a limit of indemnity of £50 million extended to include financial loss with a limit of indemnity of £50 million
  • Cover is provided in respect of crime policy (Theft be employees) with a limit of £5 million
  • Material destroyed within a maximum of 48 hours after collection

Severnside is the largest fibre based recycling company in Europe. Annually we recover and divert from landfill in excess of 1.9 million tonnes of materials from UK waste streams. Recent years have seen a dramatic extension of Severnside services into the area of Integrated Waste Management.

The complexities of environmental legislation and the escalating costs of environmental compliance have seen Severnside’s customers demand a more integrated approach to their environmental supply chain. By grouping all waste activities organisations can gain control, understanding and lowest cost position, the ultimate ambition for most has been to outsource the management of these activities and concentrate on core activities whilst benefiting from best practice within a total quality environment.
