| Go online and find an NHS dentist |
|
A new directory has been launched in a bid to help people find an NHS dentist. The online service aims to make it easier for people to find their nearest surgery accepting new patients.
Paul Johnson, director for public health for Yorkshire and the Humber, said in the Evening Courier: "This site helps people gain access to NHS dental services and makes the process of finding a dentist much simpler and less time-consuming. "A lack of information is one of the frequent complaints made by patients looking for an NHS dentist. This website gives you all the information you will need. "People tend to phone a number of dental surgeries. Searching this way you can find out who has a vacancy before you pick up the phone, the website helps you find exactly what you want." The search also covers other NHS services including GPs, accident and emergency departments and maternity services. The directory can be found on the NHS website. |
