Creating bespoke personal attack systems
Edison has completed a number of big and small projects, embracing infra red, wireless, hard-wired technology for nursecall and personal attack alarm systems.
The strength of Edison is recognising, especially in the mental health field, that not all client needs are the same. Edison can perform to most specifications and enhance standard equipment to fit those recognised needs.
Special anti-ligature mushroom buttons and surface back boxes are examples of how Edison has a adapted standard product to fit a need. In most cases Edison encourages that a wall call button is combined with the infra red window. This means that the clients have a call button and so do staff, if they do not have their infra red trigger with them. A call from the infra red trigger is normally rated as a higher level of call. There are various levels of call and reset available. The wall button is encouraged but a means of isolation is incorporated.
When allowed, Edison tries to keep the functionality simple and to suit the abilities and needs of the user.
