The only sure way to treat legionella
 The Pastormaster is the only legionella treatment system that provides 24 hour a day ‘thermal heat shocking’ of the hot water system. It is a proven fact that the most effective way of eradicating legionella is by high temperature. Most systems do this on a timed basis and then introduce cold untreated water to bring the high temperature water back to safe operating temperature – this is ineffective.
The Pastormaster is the only system that provides a thermal shock of 70°C 24 hours per day and uses plate heat exchanger technology to cool the water back to a safe operating temperature, without introducing untreated water. One plate heat exchanger takes the water up to 70°C, it is then transferred to the pasteurizer unit and held for two minutes, and then returned to the hot water network via a heat transfer plate heat exchanger to have the temperature lowered. This technology uses no chemicals and therefore does not require regimented maintenance like chemical systems.
Launched in Spain, the Pastormaster is widely recognised within the Spanish health care sector as playing a central role in eradicating Legionella in hospitals. The Pastormaster is now available in the UK from Evinox.
