ImageIn early summer 2007 the NPSA released their much awaited document with regards to safely identifying patients. They set targets as to when all hospitals should comply with the guidelines. By July 2008, hospitals should only use wristbands that meet the NPSA design requirements and by July 2009 hospitals should print all wristbands from the hospital demographic system (PAS).
