But you don’t have to take our word for it; VINCI Park was announced winner in an unprecedented four categories at the 2008 British Parking Awards, with our Hospital Mobility Scheme at Ninewells Hospital Dundee scooping both the Judge’s Special Award for Innovation and Joined-up Thinking and the Overall Winners Award.
The multi-award-winning scheme at Ninewells Hospital was a national first, taking a thorny issue such as charging for disabled parking and devising a scheme that would deliver benefits on several different levels. These included:
- A decrease in the mis-use of disabled bays
- The introduction of a compassionate voucher programme for visitors with long-term needs
- Free mobility scooters and wheelchairs offering greater independence to disabled visitors
