The temperature regime doesn’t work
 This summer, ProEconomy’s Orca Ionisation System was installed into a six hundred bed hospital within the UK. This hospital has had in the past a fatality and patients diagnosed with Legionnaires disease. The hospital was following a rigid temperature regime.
Before commissioning our system we sampled throughout the hospital at fifty points, twenty five came back positive; that’s fifty per cent! This shows yet again how ineffective the so called temperature regime is, advocated by the HTM04. After commissioning the following month we sampled at those twenty five positive points, only four came back positive.
This is not an isolated case. Last year at another even larger hospital we sampled at forty five points, twenty two came back positive. Within one month that was reduced to five, even though again they were using the temperature regime as its control method for Legionella.
We appreciate that money is tight however commitment to Ionisation and our testing regime will in the future reduce your costs and improve your Legionella policy, with benefits of no need to monitor temperatures, removal of TMVs, therefore reducing costs on maintenance and purchasing, as well as lowering temperatures and meeting government targets for lowering your carbon footprint.
A science based approach, with evidence to back it up, unlike the Temperature Regime, where we are still looking for one scientific paper showing that fifty degrees will eradicate Legionella.
