 Salitas is working with a broad spectrum of commercial manufacturers, design engineers and academic institutions to take a range of products from various stages of development right through to full commercialisation.
The company has been successful in raising private investment to fund these projects, and its core product the “Bradford Sling®” is now being followed by exciting new developments in Moving and Handling and Pain and Inflammation management.
Although starting life as a spin-out from the University of Bradford, Salitas is now a fully independent and autonomously operated company, with its Head Office in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.
Salitas’s main product is the widely used “Bradford Sling” for arm elevation, which was originally developed for burns and plastic surgery but now finds widespread use across a range of post-surgical and post trauma applications including general, orthopaedic, vascular and neuro-surgery. New products include the lower limb suspension system for plaster rooms, operating theatres and general clinical use and “Fflexx”, a revolutionary patented cooling matrix for Cryotherapy applications including physiotherapy, orthopaedics, trauma, sports medicine, osteopathy and cosmetic surgery.
