The NHS is to launch a "marathon a month" challenge, tasking people with walking 30 minutes a day.
If a person were to walk this every day, they would likely hit 26 miles a month - marathon distance.
Those taking part will be able to log their walks online, or through their phone or smartwatch. Those completing the challenge will then be eligible for rewards like incentives or discounts.
The challenge will be built on streak culture, which it is hoped will help people stick with it.
The scheme was developed in partnership with Sir Brendan Foster, as part of the 10 Year Health Plan.
The target is for more than 100,000 people to sign up.
