The UK’s leading supplier of staff safety systems for the NHS, Pinpoint Ltd, has achieved the IP67 international standard for its P2 Call Buttons.

Internationally recognised for its high-performance safety alarms, Pinpoint’s systems are designed to meet the unique challenges of the healthcare sector and have become a mainstay of hospital safety networks in the 30 years since the business inception.

Launched last year, the P2 system is the accumulation of 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector, combined with enhanced product functionality and design to deliver maximum protection/support for staff and residents of healthcare settings

P2 Call Button

A wall-mounted alarm, the P2 Call Button enables healthcare workers and patients to summon assistance with a simple press of a button. Due to its intelligent and responsive design, responders are instantly alerted to the exact location and nature of an incident within milliseconds.

IP67 International Standard

The IP, or Ingress Protection, rating certifies the device as sufficiently withstanding the ingress of dust, water, and oil. Specifically, IP67 signifies that the P2 Call Button is dust-tight, while also being water-resistant to showers and submersion up to a depth of roughly 3 feet for up to 30 minutes.

With this rating secured, the P2 Call Buttons are certified to be installed in hospital shower and bathroom facilities and given the heightened probability of falls or accidents in these locations, the benefits are clear to see.

The IP67 rating for the P2 Call Button speaks to Pinpoint’s ongoing commitment to delivering the best service for its customers.

Speaking about the IP67 international standard, Daniel Waring, CEO of Pinpoint, said:

“Pinpoint’s products are expertly designed to meet the safety requirements of the specific environments in which they are installed; the new accreditation is a testament to this.”
